Tata Motors Full Throttle, the motorsports division of Tata Motors, is launching another initiative for enthusiasts, Tata Motors Blaze De Rajasthan, a competitive one-day off-roading rally on June 9, 2012.
The rally will commence and culminate in the pink city of Jaipur, from June 9-10, 2012, after traversing through an adventurous 300 kilometers route.
Tata Motors Blaze de Rajasthan rally has three categories: 2WD, 4WD and Women’s team, with participation open to all makes. All motoring enthusiast, professionals, freshers and navigators are invited to participate in this challenging activity. This action packed activity is based on time, speed and distance making the rally competitive and adventurous.
Jatin Lakra, Head–Marketing-Sumo and Grande, Tata Motors said: "After a series of successes in rallies, Tata Motors Full Throttle brings the joy of competitive rallying to all motorsports enthusiast across the country. Rajasthan is a popular destination for off-roading and a natural choice for us to hold our first one-day off-roading rally. The state has some of the most extensive networks of roads that connect even small towns and villages and are fairly isolated with little traffic load, ideal for such sporting events".
The terrain of Tata Motors Blaze De Rajasthan will encompass in-city drives, hilly tarmac sections, sandy trails, an extreme trail and tracks specially made to test the navigation skills of participants. Thar Motorsports is the programme partner, for planning and execution of this event with Tata Motors organising all logistical, medical and service support for these expeditions.
Tata Motors Full Throttle recently launched two other off-roading properties, for owners of Tata Motors SUV’s, under the Full Throttle banner, called Tata Motors Full Throttle Experience and Tata Motors Full Throttle Trails. Full Throttle Experience is an off-roading expedition which spans over a number of days, with the first expedition being flagged off from New Delhi on June 22. A total of 6 Experience Expeditions have been planned over the year. Full Throttle Trails are half-day off-roading events, with a total of 21 trails.
Tata Motors launched the Tata Motors Full Throttle in February 2011, as a platform for steering the company’s participation in motor sports and allied activities. The platform also helps the company, in organising and synergising all efforts and activities, in the area of motor sports, including development and testing. Tata Motors Full Throttle has been victorious in some of the most reputed rallies namely Desert Storm, Dakshin Dare, Raid De Himalaya, Eastern Mountain Safari rally and the Hornbill International Motor rally.
