Sony India is targeting total business of Rs.135 crore during Onam season of 2012

Mr. Sunil Nayyar, Senior General Manager - Sales, Sony India said that the company is aiming a sales turnover of Rs. 135 Crore during the coming 'Onam' festival from Kerala. The business target of the company is 30 % higher than that of the previous year.

The company is planning to sell 31500 units of Bravia, which will be 20% higher than the previous year's sales. To achieve its business plan the company has identified three main product categories namely the Sony Bravia television and home theatre systems, the Cyber-shot camera and handycam and VAIO laptop.

In the product category of Cyber-shot cameras the company hopes to achieve a growth rate of 40% while the sales of VAIO are expected to grow by 20%. The company is planning to increase its sales outlets from 360 to 400 during the year.
