The Coimbatore-based leading industry body, the South India Textile Research Association (SITRA) is organising a two-day programme on 'Energy Management in Spinning Mills' in the city from June 25, 2012, according to fibre2fashion report.

Keeping in mind the escalation of energy costs, the association said that there was an urgent need not only to manage the usage of energy but also the conservation of energy by effective usage. The event will cover all aspects of energy usage in various spinning machines and also discuss about managing energy properly.
What is more, SITRA is of firm believe that there is ample scope to conserve energy in most of the processes, machinery and equipment used by the spinning sector. The research body were of the opinion that energy costs surpassed all other costs in the manufacturing process of spinning mills.
