In keeping with its tradition of launching exclusive and extremely high end products in India, Delhi Duty Free, India’s largest duty free retail set up at T3, IGI Airport in Delhi, has exclusively launched the ‘Royal Salute Diamond Jubilee’ blended scotch whisky.
The whisky has been launched to mark the regal occasion of Queen Elizabeth II completing 60 years of her reign. The whisky will be exclusively launched at Delhi Duty Free to begin with and will be priced at $ 175 a bottle.
Royal Salute was first launched at the crowning ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II to celebrate the coronation on June 2, 1953 and since then has continued to be one of the finest Scotch whisky brands. Marking the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s reign as Monarch of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth, Royal Salute continues to pay tribute to noble leadership and has created a Diamond Jubilee Limited Edition bottle.
The Diamond Jubilee is being celebrated to mark the completion of 60 years of the Queen’s reign, only the second monarch to do so since King Charles II reign over 400 years ago. The event was celebrated with much fanfare in London between 2 - 5 June. Royal Salute paid its own unique tribute to this landmark occasion by creating a special Diamond Jubilee Limited Edition. Available in a newly created outer box that will embolden the brand and keep in focus the exclusive whisky created with high quality ingredients. To be available only in a limited edition and only in 2012, the whisky will only be available across select markets.

Delhi Duty Free Services Pvt. Ltd. (DDFS) is a joint venture company between DIAL (Delhi International Airport Limited), IDFS (Indian Duty Free Services) and ARI (Aer Rianta International).
The company was awarded the concession to manage and operate the Duty Free Shops at Terminal 3, Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
