A leather hub has come up in Bihar. Last week, the State Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar formally inaugurated the leather hub in Fatuha Industrial area. In excess of 600 micro, small and medium sized entrepreneurs are likely to invest in the new leather hub, developed by Aparna Industrial Promotion Council, an entity set up by the leather entrepreneurs of Mumbai.

Kumar said that the hub would house several factories and would generate over 10,000 new employment opportunities.
The leather hub is being set up in Fatuha, hoping that the investors would return to Bihar, the Chief Minister said and added that this would give the skilled leather workers of Bihar a chance to work in their native state.
Kumar further said that this reversing trend was an answer to all those who had been stating that no new investments would come to Bihar. Several Mumbai-based leather entrepreneurs were geared up to set up businesses in the Fatuha leather hub, which would substantially bring down unemployment rate in the State, Kumar added.
