GoAir doubles Kolkata and Ranchi service from Delhi

GoAir, India’s budget domestic airline with the youngest fleet, has introduced additional flights from Delhi to Kolkata and Ranchi from February 5, 2012. This enhances GoAir’s day return service from Delhi to Kolkata and Ranchi. From the same date, GoAir will also increase frequencies to and from Northwest India. Total departures from Delhi will amount to 177 flights per week, linking Kolkata, Ranchi, Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Patna, Mumbai, Bagdogra, Guwahati, Pune, Lucknow, Nagpur, Nanded, Bangalore and Goa.

Across the domestic market, GoAir services 21 destinations with 90 daily flights. It has a young fleet of eleven aircraft and will induct three new Airbus A320 aircraft in 2012. GoAir has also introduced a host of value - added features such as Go Club, web check-in, fog helpline and SMS service to check flights status.  

A GoAir spokesperson, said: “It gives me immense pleasure in announcing these new frequencies, which will provide even more flexibility of choice to our customers, and enhance our connectivity across India. Delhi is now connected to Kolkata and Ranchi by double daily service which facilitates day return trips for business travelers.  Our value-added features of Go Club, Go Business are introduced keeping in mind customer needs of simple, smooth and smart flying experience We strongly believe that these features will add more comfort and convenience to our customers and make their travel with us more enjoyable".

Value - added features:  

Go Club: Go Air’s mobile loyalty program, the first to be offered by an LCC in India. The strategy is to connect with GoAir valued customers and offer reward points that can be redeemed for GoAir tickets along with access to GoAir Lounges across prominent metropolis and holiday destinations in India.

Go Business: Our value-added offer of Comfort and Convenience for the busy corporate traveller. Go Business comprises the first two rows of the aircraft with the middle seat empty and more legroom. In addition, hot meals are served, along with lounge access and in-flight entertainment.  

Go Travel: A one stop shop which addresses all travel needs of our customers featuring holiday packages including Air, hotel and ground transportation.

24 Hour Fog Help Line: GoAir has launched a dedicated 24 hours fog help line number to provide flight status as a special convenience to customers. The fog help line number is 022-67281313. The same information is also available on GoAir’s website.  

SMS Service: GoAir has also started an SMS service whereby customers can retrieve information regarding any GoAir flight by sending SMS to 57333.
