The Aditya Birla Group is contemplating on establishing a four million tonne capacity cement manufacturing plant at Malkhed in Gulbarga district of Karnataka, according to its Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla. While speaking on the sidelines of the Global Investors Meet, held in Bangalore on Thursday, the official said that the firm was also enhancing the capacity of its aluminium factory in Belgaum, again in Karnataka from the current capacity of 2,000 tonnes to 3,000 tonnes, with an invesment of Rs 700 crore.
